"Greg, Thanks for the excellent work on my 1098, beautiful paint and completed on schedule.” - Steve Kidd
“Greg painted Sharkskins race bodywork for both my Ducati 1098S in Ducati red and recently my 1198R in Ducati Corse colors. His attention to detail is superb, and the red/white/black scheme on the “R” is absolutely spectacular! I have had many compliments on both bikes’ paintwork and recently saw the “S” at a track day with it’s new owner and it still looked striking!”
I have been riding motorcycles for over forty years and have on several occasions needed to paint bikes or parts. I always dread it because painters are also artists and tend to work on a schedule of the cosmos. I missed a big bike show at Daytona one year because the painter did not finish my project when promised. Not only that but he ran into problems and had to raise my price forty percent!
After trying several painters over the years, I ran into Greg. He came with a good recommendation so I gave him a try. Well it was refreshing to find a painter who gave you an estimate that he intended to live with both on cost and finish date. The real bonus was his work was the best I have used in my forty years. Go figure the best work with the best service. I can give Greg my unqualified seal of approval and I would recommend him to anyone and have the last few years.
After having the opportunity to re-assemble the two Ducati motorcycles that you provided the bodywork repair and paint work on, I just had to drop you a note expressing my complete satisfaction with both the results and the opportunity to have worked with you once again.
The blue and silver 1982 900 Supersport bodywork is simply stunning; I remain quite impressed that the OEM stripe kit that I had provided was able to be applied so masterfully. The clear coat finish not only has the desirable “wet” look, but effectively blended the edges of the striping beyond detection to the touch.
Additionally, the silver and black 1973 GT 750 is gorgeous as well. You having taken the time to duplicate the original striping using the dimensions I provided produced exemplary results. This machine is undoubtedly one of the most favored by visitors to my shop.
Recently, photos of some of the detail work on the two above Ducati’s were used in promotions for the grand opening of an Atlanta museum and a nationally distributed calendar as well; this clearly speaks volumes concerning your ability to deliver unexcelled results consistently for your customers.
I look forward to working with you on numerous upcoming projects and would happily remain available as a reference should the need ever arise.
“I can not be more thrilled with how the bike came out. Thanks again for your work, it's fantastic. “ - Mark Houlihan
It is good to hear you are pursuing some motorcycle painting projects. As I told you, you are easily the best motorcycle painter I ever worked with. Please offer me as a referral for your work. I believe you not only painted my Morini, but also did repairs on the fairings of my black and gold 1978 Ducati Darmah 900 SD and my red 1996 Ducati 900SS cr. I have attached photos of the three bikes.
Subsequently, I had a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport painted by someone else and the quality of the work was not up to what you do. Nor was the timeliness. The more I deal with other people, the more I appreciate your ability to produce work within the time frame that you promise.
Attached are e-pics of my Bimota db3. The weather today was overcast with low light so Greg Pettigrew's excellent metallic silver & graphite black paint job doesn't show up properly in the photos. I can't wait to get the bike out and show it off at the 2008 US Desmo Ducks Along the Blue Ridge Rally.
